INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S CRICKET COUNCIL (IWCC)

EIGHTH MEETING

EIGHTH MEETING - held in Hyderabad - 11th January, 1978

Due to problems of internal State incompatibility, the meeting could not be held in Madras. Australia, England, India, New Zealand and South Africa were represented at the meeting. Concern was expressed at the lack of direction given by the Council regarding the World Cup arrangements and it was agreed that the IWCC should become pro-active regarding future venues and arrangements.

The inclusion of the category "Federation" in the Constitution was approved and the CWCF were admitted as Full Members. The individual Islands would no longer affiliate. Membership fees were increased to Full £6 and Associate £5 (sterling) or equivalent local currency.

The guidelines regarding Sponsorship were considered and accepted, but it was emphasised that the whole spectrum of sponsorship must be discussed between the touring countries. The guidelines for World Cup were also discussed and it was recommended both topics should be included as Rules.

The Minute Book had still not arrived and the President stated she would re-type the records from her own personal files.
